Butterfly Hair & Healing: Where experience, creativity, and care come together to make you shine.

Hi my name is Gemma Jordan I have been hairdressing since I left school. I enrolled myself on an apprenticeship at crowns training academy in Worthing to complete my nvq level 1,2 and 3 in hairdressing.

I worked in a small salon in Aldwick whilst attending the training academy 1 day a week. I started by sweeping floors and making tea and helping the other stylists in the salon, whilst watching and learning. I qualified by the age of 18 and decided to work in a bigger salon in Chichester where I gained more knowledge and confidence by going on a Paul Mitchell and tigi course which expanded my knowledge of different colouring and cutting techniques. 

Through experience I gained my own column of amazing clients which stayed loyal to me, some even becoming friends. I have had some amazing experiences and opportunities to go to different wedding venues and be part of some beautiful brides special days. 

After 23 years of working for other salons and a journey of self discovery I finally opened my own salon on the 1st May 2024 which was a very exciting venture and one that will continue to grow. 

Whist enjoying my job as a hairdresser I felt I needed to explore myself more , which lead me onto discovery myself and enrolling on a crystal healing diploma course. 

Through doing this course I learnt alot about myself and my direction I was being called to. I was being guided to help others through their own journeys of self discovery and self love. 

Through living and experiencing a lifetime of trauma and mental and physical abuse  and hurt and living with lots of health problems and illness, l learnt how to heal myself through using crystals and self healing. 

The more clients I helped the more I learnt and discovered my own gifts to help and heal even more people. I qualified in level 1 reiki to enable me to help more people with there inner healing. 

My mantra has always been if I can transform someone's hair which makes them look and feel amazing and if I can help them heal and transform themselves on the inside I've done my job.
